RIVERSIDE STAGE -- CLASSES FOR KIDS!
Beginning in mid-September, Riverside Stage (a community project of Musical Artists Theatre and Salem) offers a new series of acting and dance classes for children ages 8-12. (Children outside this age range may be accepted on an individual basis; please contact Musical Artists Theatre for details.)
ACTING (Wednesdays, 6-7:30, September 16 -- November 18) uses exercises, monologues, improvisation and theater games as students rehearse a play directed by Jose de la Mar, a professional actor and graduate of Bucknell.
DANCE (Mondays, 6-7:30, September 14 -- November 16) is a high-energy fusion of ballet, jazz, and lyrical/contemporary styles taught by Jason Kimmell, who has performed on Broadway, CBS-TV and with the Metropolitan Ballet Theatre.
Both classes run for ten (10) weeks and culminate in a performance. No prior training is required.
Tuition for either class is $195.
