ELCA Disaster Response continues to respond to all those in need both here and abroad. In 2005 the ELCA was active in the Gulf Coast region affected by hurricanes, as well as with the victims of the earthquake in Pakistan and all others in need around the world. And 2007, ELCA Disaster Response stood ready to assist with recovery in Nicaragua from Hurricane Felix, as well as throughout the United States to include.....the Great Plains region after the devastating and deadly string of tornadoes, flooding in the Mid-West, as well as the wildfires in Southern California.
